Full Day Chiang Mai Highlights and Hill Tribes Tour with Lunch

Doi Suthep is Chiang Mai's most famous temple and also its most prominent as it sits at 1685 meters on a small sub peak of Doi Pui mountain. Wat Phra That Doi Suthep (the temple's full name) offers stunning views of Chiang Mai and beyond. Although the temple itself is remarkable, visitors who have no or little interest in in this kind of site will appreciate the view from the mountain as it is well worth the trip alone. Once the visit to Doi Suthep over, we will proceed back down via the winding road and on to the Five hill tribe exhibition village at Baan Tong Luang. Here, you will meet members of the Karen Long Neck (Padaung) tribe as well as members of the Akha and Lahu communities among others who reside at this village. Following a leisurely lunch break, the option will be offered to visit The Tiger Kingdom, where you will be able to play with adult tigers or tiger cubs. You will then be driven to the Thai Orchid and Butterfly Farm as well as the San Kamheang area to observe manufactures of famous Thai and Chiang Mai products such as Celadon ceramics, silk items, paper umbrellas and many more before driving you back to your hotel in Chiang Mai.

Chiang Mai → Chiang Rai and Golden Triangle Tour with Lunch → Chiang Mai

Experience the beautiful province of Chiang Rai and the legendary The Golden Triangle, where Laos, Myanmar and Thailand, meet. After picking you up from your hotel in Chiang Mai, we will drive you to your first stop; the Maekhajan hot springs which is the perfect place to enjoy the day's first cup of coffee. After a small break, we will proceed through the mountains to Chiang Rai where we will visit the amazing Wat Rong Khun, which is also known as The White Temple. The next stop will be Chiang Saen, located on the banks of the infamous Mekong River. The town of Chiang Saen was once an important city of the Lanna Kingdom. It boasts many surviving ancient structures and several Buddha images can be admired in this area. You will visit Wat Chedi Luang - which is one of the better-preserved old temples. We will then proceed to the meeting point of Myanmar, Thailand and Laos which is famously known as the Golden Triangle, where you may decide to take part in a boat trip on the Mekong River which would bring you to the island of Don Sao in Laos.
